Other Consultative Service

Histology

Our laboratories offer an extensive profile of immunohistochemical, insitu hybridization, immunofluorescent and cytochemical stains. PBM can perform this testing on referred paraffin blocks, or we can provide Second Opinions on complete cases.

Flow Cytometry

We utilize well characterized clenbuterol pct multicolor antibody combinations in keeping with guidelines of the Bethesda International Consensus Conference on Flow Cytometric Immunophenotyping of Hematolymphoid Neoplasia (Clinical Cytometry. 72B:S1, 2007). Immunophenotypic analysis by flow cytometry can be performed on blood, bone marrow, body fluids, and tissues including fine needle aspiration (FNA) biopsy material. Optimal utilization is achieved by performing cell count and viability studies on all specimens, allowing us to determine in advance how many markers can be performed. If there are lesser numbers of cells than required for the standard antibody panels, our Hematopathologists will select an abbreviated panel of markers based on clinical history, review of previous analyses and cytologic evaluation of stained touch-prep and/or cytospin slides.
